Spare time coding and publishing

Currently / idea stage

I’m restarting work on my long-time project The Local Yarn. This site will dual-publish to web and print, and include revision tracking as an integral part of the content. Lately I’m contemplating moving the project from using Pollen to my own Racket-based DSL.

I’d like to make a Lightweight image host so that it’s easy to upload, optimize, and use images on my websites.

I have a very lightweight email newsletter called Pollen Time for notifying people of upcoming events and projects.

Published projects

These are just some personal highlights. You can find more on my Github profile. Most of my programming work belongs to my employers and is not included here.

πŸ”–βš›οΈ Splitflap: Opinionated RSS and Atom feed generation/validation for Racket

πŸπŸ§‡ Beeswax: A template language for Pollen projects. Very niche.

πŸŒŠπŸ”Š Wavenet API: A Racket interface for Google Cloud’s text-to-speech service.

πŸŽ²πŸ“™ I published the Dice Word List in book form. I’ve also written about how I published it using Racket, Pollen, and Latex.

πŸ“°πŸ˜± Tabloid: A Racket implementation of Tabloid, the clickbait programming language.

πŸ“˜βŒ¨οΈ Bookcover: A DSL for making print-ready cover PDFs for books.

πŸŽ²πŸ€– Bunco Simulator: (Python) Simulates a complete game of Bunco with unlimited players. Each player can be notified of their latest results via SMS. Awards prizes in seven categories and produces statistics spreadsheets and scorecards for each player in Excel format.
